  • Like most people out there, you are probably thinking: “Seriously? These people want me to install yet another HP product on my XenApp servers?” Kind of annoying eh? Chances are your development buddies are looking to do a little automation with the citrix client. Don’t worry, we have you covered – the install is short and SetupCitrixAgent64 will give your friends a while new realm of automation to play with.
  • Locate your the correct agent you want to install, there is two different versions (x64, x86).
  • Right click on SetupCitrixAgent64.msi and select “Run as administrator”
  • At the Open File – Security Warning – select “run”.
  • Be sure to locate a good location to extract the data to . For this document, we have chosen C:\Temp\HP Software Agent 11.00 for Citrix Server 64
  • Note: to successfully accomplish this install, there are a few requirements that will need satisfied prior to the actuall agent install.
    • Windows Installer 3.1
    • Microsoft WSE 2.0 Sp3 Runtime
    • Microsoft WSE 3.0 Runtime
    • Microsoft Visual C++ Run-time Components
    • If you get an error indicating “Not enough storage is available to process this command”, its a result of WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86 attempting to install.
    • followed by “installation did not complete” do the following.

Error: QuickTest Terminal Emulator support is not configured correctly. Either the terminal emulator is not installed on your computer or the HLLAPI.DLL was not found.

To resolve, install rumba.  Workaround: When you open QuickTest, clear the Terminal Emulators check box in the Add-in Manager.
