WordPress plugin: Ultimate Google Analytics"][/caption]Its almost annoying to add a new wordpress plug-in, and to later find out somebody has inadvertently plopped their code into your site. After recently adding a wordpress blog to cibengineering site, I immediately wanted to start tracking the analytics (we use google analytics). With a quick search – I found the ultimate google analytics plug-in and immediately installed it via the admin wordpress dashboard. This plug-in is great! I was able to immediately configure the plug-in with ease (the only requirement for immediate tracking was the the identifier (UA-****). After saving my settings and accessing the blog as a random user, I quickly viewed the page source from IE8 and found a reference around line 28 indicating the developers URL which is very annoying. Thanks for the code and very useful plug-in, but no thanks for the outbound link from my sites. Lets remove the tracker reference in the Ultimate Google Analytics WordPress plug-in.
- From within your WordPress admin click on Plugins
- Search for Ultimate Google Analytics and click on edit
