citrix dazzle
Lets make note of it one more time. This is a horrible name for a citrix product. ZenApp is cool but Dazzle is not. So like with any new citrix product or feature pack, it was nearly impossible to navigate their website to find the installs, and clients we were looking for. And in this case, nearly every link pointing to the Citrix Merchandising Server download was broken. Annoyed but still determined, we managed to find what we were looking for.

Dazzle Technology Preview:

  1. Downloaded Dazzle (aprx size = 3.0MB)
  2. Accepted the huge terms End User License Agreement
  3. Nevermind on the Akamai plugin, always deny this activeX plugin and manualy download.
  4. Saved the Dazzle.msi to the desktop
  5. Bang - hit the run button and anxiously await the msi installer to fire up.
  6. Prompted to add a "configured store"
    • dazzle-configure-store
    •  Configured store as requested to ctxTEST
    •  Configured URL as requested (https://.../PNAgent/config.xml)
    • add store dazzle
  7.  Install finished.
  8. Right click on Dazzle icon then click on Select Store
  9. Got the following error: Cannot list applications as provider(s) are not available
    • apparently our configuration url was not correct and we need to check our citrix merchandising server configuration.
