Microsoft may have finally got it right. All I
have to do is go to their site and download
Microsoft Security Essentials and install the
application and it just works. That’s of course
after I get the satisfaction of completely
ripping off my existing AV solution. Security
Essentials has a lower application footprint
than any Symantec product on the market,
consumes less system resources, and manages
pattern file updates and system scans all by
itself. In the event you are one of the
corporate customers and have opted out of using
Forefront and are using some other product like
he rest of us. Here are some of the issues we
found and have worked though.
